Children and teens often express their struggles through behaviour, mood, or withdrawal — sometimes in ways that feel confusing or overwhelming. I work to create a safe, relational space where young people can feel understood, regulated, and supported as they make sense of their experiences and build resilience.

Kids are processing the impact of so many modern-day stressors - including things like the impact of the pandemic, family changes, school challenges, separation anxiety and diagnoses. Each family and child brings their unique challenges and strengths to the table. With curiosity and empathy we’ll explore how your child experiences the world and work to increase their sense of safety and connection with others.

My work with kids is informed by interpersonal neurobiology/nervous system, attachment theory and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP). I use lots of play with games, sensory strategies and brain-body strategies along with curiosity, compassion and acceptance to foster trust and reduce shame.
