Spiritual and Religious Issues
Hello!Growing up within a religious community or tradition can shape so much of how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. Sometimes, the beliefs and strategies that once helped us make sense of life no longer feel like they fit. You may find yourself questioning what you believe, struggling to trust yourself, or feeling distant from parts of who you are.
Maybe you’re wondering if anyone understands the important role faith or God has played in your life, even while you have questions, doubts or hurt in the same space. This dilemma can be hard to explain. Maybe you feel adrift and need a place to sort it all out.
Whether you’re
wrestling with doubts, uncertainty, or a loss of faith,
carrying wounds from your religious community,
untangling beliefs about sexuality or relationships, or
wanting to create safety for yourself and others in your religious community
Whatever your experience, you don’t have to figure it all out before you come to therapy.
I would love to walk alongside you as you make sense of your experiences.
You deserve to have a safe place. I have personal experience with the complexity of navigating faith, questions, and change, and I know how meaningful it can be to have a safe place to explore these things.
You are so welcome here.
